
Terms & Conditions
1. Definitions

“Client” refers to the person or organisation booking the service.

“Engineer/Company” refers to the mobile caravan engineer providing the service.
-
“Caravan/Vehicle” refers to the unit being inspected, serviced, or repaired.
-
“Services” refers to all work carried out by the engineer.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 All bookings must be confirmed by the Client (via phone, email, or online form).
2.2 A call-out fee may apply depending on location and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
2.3 Payment is due in full on completion of the service unless agreed otherwise.
2.4 The engineer reserves the right to request a deposit for large repairs or parts orders.
2.5 Payments can be made via cash, bank transfer, or other methods agreed in advance.
3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
3.1 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a charge.
3.2 If the engineer is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, vehicle breakdown, adverse weather), an alternative appointment will be offered.
3.3 The engineer is not liable for any financial loss arising from rescheduled appointments
4. Service Limitations
4.1 The engineer will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with industry standards (e.g., NCC, manufacturer guidance).
4.2 The Client must ensure safe access to the caravan/vehicle at the agreed time.
4.3 The engineer may refuse to work if conditions are unsafe or if the caravan is unsuitable for servicing (e.g., inadequate parking, hazardous environment).
4.4 The engineer is not responsible for faults arising from wear and tear, poor maintenance, misuse, or pre-existing issues.
5. Parts, Materials, and Special Orders
5.1 Any parts supplied will be new or manufacturer-approved equivalents unless otherwise agreed.
5.2 Lead times for special-order parts are outside the engineer’s control.
5.3 Parts remain the property of the engineer until paid for in full.
6. Warranty
6.1 All new parts supplied and fitted by the engineer carry a warranty in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms.
6.2 Workmanship is covered by a 12-month labour warranty, unless stated otherwise.
6.3 Warranties apply only to the Client who purchased the service and are strictly non-transferable, including upon sale of the caravan.
6.4 Warranty is void if:
-
the part is tampered with or modified by another party;
-
recommended repairs are not carried out;
-
the fault results from misuse, accidental damage, or lack of maintenance.
7. Liability
7.1 The engineer is insured for public liability.
7.2 The engineer is not liable for:
-
loss of use of the caravan;
-
booking or holiday cancellations;
-
consequential or indirect losses;
-
faults resulting from issues not identifiable at the time of service.
7.3 The Client is responsible for removing valuables before work begins.
8. Gas, Electrical, and Safety Systems
8.1 Work on gas systems will be carried out by a competent person in accordance with UK legislation.
8.2 Electrical testing and repairs will comply with appropriate standards.
8.3 The Client must inform the engineer of any known faults, smells, leaks, or previous work to these systems.
9. Damp Inspections and Reports
9.1 Damp readings are accurate at the time of inspection but cannot predict future changes or hidden issues.
9.2 Damp reports are based solely on accessible areas.
10. Client Responsibilities
10.1 The Client must ensure that:

the caravan is level and accessible;
-
water, power, and gas supplies are available where required;

the engineer is informed of any aftermarket modifications.
10.2 The Client agrees to act on safety-related recommendations as soon as possible.
11. Privacy and Data
11.1 Client information is stored securely and used only for booking, invoicing, and service-related communication.
11.2 Information is not shared with third parties except where legally required.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
12.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
